Production Planning Manager

Job Purpose:

The Production Planning Manager oversee production planning and management activities within the organization. Support the organizational goals in achieving total customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop production plan, budget and timelines according to production specifications
  2. Determine production requirements based on plant capacity and production specifications
  3. Plan work flow and schedules for production departments
  4. Monitor production status and ensure timely delivery
  5. Identify delays and accordingly adjust schedules to meet deadlines
  6. Assist in production risk assessment and mitigation activities
  7. Notify customers on any delays and outages
  8. Assist in new production development
  9. Be accountable for all data entry points, supervise them and monitor all material movement to be accurate at all times.
  10. To ensure that all subordinates work follow their own Section Procedure.
  11. Responsible for coordinating to do the annual physical Inventory checking.
  12. Be able to address violation to the appropriate department head for corrective actions.
  13. Know your customer's expectations and drive section to meet them.
  14. Assist in employee hiring, training, performance evaluation, retention and termination activities

Job Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree and or equivalent to industry experience

Experience: 10 + years of production & warehouse experience (inventory control, leadership experience, logistic)

Required Skill:

  1. Must have an understand of Human Resource policies and procedures, area-specific policies and procedures, manufacturing, automation, electronics, systems integration, life cycle modeling, new product introduction, process development and deployment, leveraging Lean / 6 Sigma tools, project and resource planning, and systems implementation
  2. Working knowledge and understanding of MRP / ERP systems, WIP & Planning
  3. Expert level user of MS Excel, Oracle is a plus. Computer Savvy
  4. Ability to interact and understand IT issues related to business processes and systems changes
